Purpose
The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the umbrella organization of the students enrolled at The University of Toledo School of Law.

Each year SBA members elect a board which is the government of the student body. The board acts as a liason between the SBA and the administration, recognizes student groups, hosts social and scholarly student activities, and administers the student body's budget.

Membership
Upon enrollment at UT Law, all students are given an opportunity to join the SBA. All dues paying students are entered as members of the SBA and are entitled to vote in general SBA elections, run for SBA office, and participate in SBA sponsored events.

Social Events
Throughout the school year, the SBA sponsors a series of social events.  The SBA is responsible for organizing the annual formal, the Barristers’ Ball.

Academics
The SBA sponsors a mentor program in which 1L’s are matched with upper level students.

Pro Bono Initiatives
The SBA recognizes the value of public service.  Throughout the year the SBA promotes several initiatives such as the Habitat for Humanity Build, Hurricane Relief, and the Red Cross Blood Drive.

Campus Activities
The Campus Activities committee organizes activities which provide law students an opportunity to become involved with the larger University of Toledo campus. Through this committee, the SBA provides opportunities for intermural sports.
